Overview


Our business development managers collaborate with distributors and partners to strategize, co-sell, and promote the adoption of the ArcGIS platform. We invite you to utilize your enterprise sales and multi-channel software business development experience to help cadastral and land valuation agencies leverage GIS technology across the globe. You will work closely with Esri’s distributor network and business partners to help customers take advantage of tools for field data collection, parcel and survey data management, property valuation, and public engagement.

Responsibilities


  • Understand our customers. Be familiar with the mission and workflows of national and subnational land administration organizations, including their goals, challenges, procurement cycles, and business processes.
  • Identify and drive opportunities. Use your networking skills to engage with industry stakeholders and identify opportunities for promoting the ArcGIS platform within land administration organizations. Collaborate with Esri staff, distributors, and the regional sales teams to qualify opportunities and create opportunity plans for key accounts. Form a collaborative virtual team of staff, distributors, strategic partners, and integrators to support the development and execution of sales strategies.
  • Think strategically. Develop a business development and sales strategy that employs direct and channel approaches to significantly expand the use of our solutions in land administration.
  • Support distributors. Work with Esri’s distributors to demonstrate the value of our technology and solutions to customers and prospects through business case development, references, webinars, and executive presentations. Support distributors to increase the execution of sales activities to achieve internal business objectives. Co-develop proposals to respond to RFPs, RFIs, and tenders.
  • Deliver results. Ensure continued success of Esri’s software deployments within land administration organizations and raise awareness of success cases both within and outside of Esri.
  • Thought leadership. Be familiar with Esri offerings and experiences in the land administration market. Represent and deliver presentations for Esri at industry events, conferences, and webinars.

Requirements


  • 5+ years of experience providing technical solutions in the GIS and/or land administration domains
  • Domain knowledge in land administration, including workflows, industry standards (LADM), and relevant policies/guidance documents
  • Experience working with land administration organizations at all levels of national and local government
  • Ability to manage the acquisition cycle including prospecting, qualifying, developing, and closing account opportunities
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology, identify technology gaps, gather requirements, and work across different teams to innovate and deliver repeatable solutions
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in GIS, business administration, surveying engineering, geodetic engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience with Esri products
  • Fluent in Spanish or French (verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of industry players, including technology partners, competitors, funders, etc.
