Overview


An energetic and resourceful individual is needed to provide the product business team with high-quality data collection and collaboration related to Esri’s intellectual property (IP) licensing program. The successful candidate will bring the skills required to review business and contract documents, identify key terms, and facilitate a well-managed, accurate IP database, providing a searchable repository of granted permissions, restrictions, and business obligations. You will work alongside Esri’s business and product managers to efficiently license and record third-party technologies, patents, copyrights, and content required for use throughout Esri’s ArcGIS products.

Responsibilities


  • Review business and contract documents, identify key terms, and add to and maintain IP database(s) and reports
  • Summarize and distribute contract summaries, ensuring timely input of contract details into company business systems, tracking of milestones and risks, and contract closeout activities as well as the facilitation of contract renewals and extensions
  • Contribute to the development of contract clauses and other contractual terms and conditions relating to inbound IP licensing
  • Work closely with business managers, product managers, and finance and contracts teams to administer contract requirements during the contract’s lifecycle as well as the related budgets and procurement vehicles
  • Provide a timely response to inquiries from our product management, software development, and finance teams regarding pending and existing contracts
  • Suggest opportunities for improvement for a better and more efficient contract licensing process
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to a team-based working environment requiring collaboration and coordination with multiple business lines and functional support areas across the company and our global offices
  • Able to organize, coordinate, and direct projects within and across department, business units, and service lines
  • Flexibility to meet changing business objectives and the ability to multitask and adroitly set priorities

Requirements


  • 3+ years of experience with business management, purchasing, or contract administration
  • Extremely detail-oriented with high level of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems with little direct supervision
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills with outstanding relationship-building skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications abilities and solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s in business management, GIS, geoscience/geospatial, or related field.

Recommended Qualifications


  • SAP and Salesforce knowledge
