We invite you to use your deep understanding of the General Services Administration (GSA) IT policy development and GSA Schedules to become an integral part of the National Government business development team. Responsibilities


  • Build relationships. Build, create, or maintain relationships at GSA to influence IT policy. Leverage social media to build your professional network. Participate in working groups, trade shows, workshops, and seminars.
  • Understand our customers. Identify key stakeholders and business drivers for an organization. Understand customer budgeting and acquisition processes.
  • Be an expert. Provide guidance to account staff regarding federal contracting processes, procedures, and new trends. Provide guidance to management on federal business and policy decisions so that workable solutions are the result.
  • Collaborate with your team. Leverage your domain knowledge when working with cross-divisional teams to define and execute strategies. Be motivated and resourceful and take initiative to resolve issues.
  • Act with integrity. Maintain high ethical standards in every aspect of the position and comply with company policy, laws, and regulations.

Requirements


  • Demonstrated knowledge of GSA and federal IT policy
  • Excellent technology literacy and cloud computing related to GSA IT Schedule 70
  • Experience creating partnerships and establishing advocacy with customers
  • Experience working with federal agencies and federal regulations including FAR/DFAR
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles
  • Understanding of the sales process
  • Ability to multi-task and remain flexible in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse team and a variety of Account team members
  • Ability to travel domestically 25%
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in business administration, contracts administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Recommended Qualifications


  • Federal policy development experience
  • Contract negotiation experience and familiarity with large systems integrators
  • Excellent presentation and organizational skills
