Overview


Our growing company needs a responsible individual to inspect, maintain, and have a general understanding of repairing building infrastructure, mechanical equipment, and electrical equipment. The successful candidate will help oversee Esri’s facilities operations and manage contractors while remaining in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities


  • Review daily status of HVAC systems to identify issues and update HVAC documentation
  • Respond to comfort and other issues in coordination with on-site HVAC technician
  • Perform in-person inspection of HVAC units on rooftops, above ceilings, and elsewhere
  • Communicate with in-house customers regarding complaints or inquiries
  • Identify chronic deficiencies, inefficiencies, or reliability issues; arrange to have them addressed or bring to the attention of Facilities Manager
  • Maintain ongoing list of outstanding issues to address with HVAC contractor, BAS vendor, or others if applicable
  • Provide input on proposed HVAC or BAS changes, upgrades, or new installations
  • Assist with trash pickup and overall cleanliness of the campus
  • Awareness of any hazards, problems, or anything out of the ordinary on campus
  • Assist with emergency response for weather related issues and vandalism
  • Oversee and handle miscellaneous repairs in and around all buildings

Requirements


  • 5 years of experience in basic construction and remodeling
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, architectural, and civil plans
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems as well as electrical fundamentals
  • Demonstrate above average leadership and management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience overseeing and directing vendors and contractors
  • Understanding of safety and best practices for standard job sites
  • Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of network Windows operating systems
  • Willingness to learn BAS and HVAC operations, including off-site training
  • Facility with basic hand tools
  • Ability to write and update instructions and system operating descriptions
  • Capable of working in a team environment
  • Organized, self-motivated, and ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities
  • Quick and eager learner with a positive attitude
  • Commitment to your own safety and that of colleagues, contractors, vendors, and visitors
  • Bachelor’s in construction management, engineering, business or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience processing governmental agency permits and related documents
  • Extended knowledge of construction practices
  • Knowledge of insurance requirements in a corporate environment

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

  

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $79,040.00 - $139,880.00.
