Financial Systems Business Analyst

Overview

The primary function of this position is to support the Financial Systems Technology team with its many responsibilities and support roles. This is a very dynamic team working with all areas of finance, focusing primarily on collaborating with business colleagues to develop business requirements and to proactively identify opportunities to improve business processes while optimizing SAP functionality. This position may also work cross-functionally to understand, support, and implement improvements, such as but not limited to, quote-to-cash and procure-to-pay workstreams.  

Responsibilities

• Support the ongoing use of Finance and Controlling Modules of SAP, specifically in the areas of Financial Accounting and basic Controlling  
• Analyze complex SAP business problems and develop efficient and effective solutions within SAP using available tools and technologies  
• Create and revise analysis artifacts and deliverables as needed, such as business requirements, functional requirements, use cases, business rules and business process models 
• Assist in the development or enhancement of SAP reporting capabilities  
• Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and deliver end-user training and documentation  
• Develop and implement financial and operational processes and provide on-going support leveraging MS Access applications, SharePoint, and other tools used throughout the department 
• Stay current with S/4HANA technology

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst; or a Master's degree inbusiness, computer science, or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience
• Ability to translate and communicate complex topics in a variety of forums for diverse audiences 
• Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs 
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, problem solving, and influence 
• Process-driven analysis skills and background in various requirement discovery methods 
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including the ability to create and maintain MS Access applications 
• Knowledge of SQL in a development capacity 

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance 
• Experience in SAP with a focus on finance and accounting 
• Experience using Power Platform, such as Power BI, Power Apps

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $72,800.00 - $135,200.00.
