Overview


Use your front end software development expertise to build applications that help the GIS community visualize policy interventions focused on homelessness, housing, and racial equity. As a developer working with the urban planning team, you will extend ArcGIS Urban capabilities through complementary web applications.

Responsibilities


  • Use JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Redux to develop front end applications
  • Follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models
  • Work collaboratively with other team members as well as independently
  • Demonstrate latest product capabilities to stakeholders, prospects, and customers
  • Leverage the knowledge of your peers to better understand business trends, customer communities, and technology adoption patterns

Requirements


  • 2+ years of front end software development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Redux
  • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS, Node
  • Working knowledge of Git, GitHub, NPM, Yarn, Webpack
  • Ability to design, implement, and deploy web applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, urban planning, GIS, or a related field

Recommended Qualifications


  • Familiarity with ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.x
  • Background in urban planning
