Overview


Leverage your knowledge and experience with software development and automated testing as a subject matter expert helping our software development teams with delivering high quality products for a global market. This is a challenging opportunity to work closely with teams in development and QA to implement internationalization best practices for the ArcGIS platform.

 

Esri’s internationalization team helps design and develop our products, applications, and documents to enable easy localization for target audiences that vary in culture, region, or language.

Responsibilities


  • Assist in developing, maintaining, debugging, and deploying internationalization in production software applications
  • Design and develop software tools and automation to improve efficiency, adding internationalization and localization considerations in development and release processes
  • Assist with development and enhancement of test automation frameworks to include internationalization and localization checks
  • Work directly with software development teams to influence and implement internationalization best practices in their design, development, and QA processes
  • Develop test plans and coordinate with development teams for testing our products in non-English environments

Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience writing code in following languages:
    • .NET, C#, Java, or C++
    • Python
  • Experience working in software development working with QA processes, test automation and Agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills, a team player, and the ability to thrive in an environment that changes often
  • Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, information technology or related field

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience utilizing automation tools such as Selenium/JUnit
  • Knowledge of software internationalization and localization testing
  • Familiarity with GIS and/or Esri ArcGIS products
  • Master’s in computer science, information technology or related field

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

 


A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $66,560.00 - $120,640.00.
