In this role, you’ll work with senior-level localization engineers and be mentored by other developers to build and test automated processes to handle translation workflows. Your work will focus on current system updates and workflows, with opportunities to solve problems utilizing Java, Python, and the latest and greatest test tools.

Responsibilities


  • Build modern Python and Java automation scripts for testing that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models
  • Collaborate with other engineers throughout the development process
  • Design, develop, and test applications and APIs
  • Articulate and solve problems related to application design, development, and user experiences
  • Use test tools such as Selenium, Appium, Jasmine, Cucumber, Coded UI, or TestComplete to improve our workflows
  • Make an impact by consistently looking for ways to improve our design, development, testing, and release processes for thousands of global customers using ArcGIS, our industry-leading software

Requirements


  • 1+ years of internship or professional working experience with Java
  • Driven and adaptable with excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, computer engineering, internationalization (i18n), localization (l10n), translation, or a related field

Recommended Qualifications


  • 1+ years of experience with Python
  • 1+ years of experience with IDEs, compilers, and development tools for one or more of Linux, Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android
  • 1+ years of experience with REST or SOAP web services
  • Knowledge of Jenkins and GIT
  • Experience working with international teams and customers
  • Knowledge of software localization (l10n), globalization, or internationalization (i18n)
