Overview


The Manager of Disbursements will serve as the leader for the accounts payable and travel accounting teams supporting the procure to pay process. In this role, you will mentor staff and focus on continuous improvements while providing the necessary daily guidance to allow the operations to run most effectively. In addition, you will understand the payment system in great detail allowing for the current processes to be challenged to keep the organization up to date with modern payment practices utilizing effective controls.

Responsibilities


  • Perform managerial and supervisory responsibilities of AP and travel staff
  • Oversee disbursement functions to ensure the company's financial obligations are met in an effective and timely manner
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure effective controls and adherence to company policies are in place and followed consistently
  • Produce and regularly report KPIs that communicate to management how effective the operations are running and to provide insight to individual performance and workloads
  • Communicate with vendors to research and resolve issues

Requirements


  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience with 3+ years in a management or leadership role
  • Strong payment system knowledge
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, and problem solving
  • Ability to develop strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs
  • Bachelor’s in finance or accounting

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience with a global organization with international payment practices
  • Experience in flowcharting and control documentation
  • Experience with SAP
