Overview


Serve as a leader on the revenue accounting team to ensure the accuracy of revenue across product lines and through the management of revenue accounting policies and procedures around ASC 606. Your system knowledge will aid the maintenance and future enhances to the revenue and reporting (RAR) module in SAP. You will also support financial audits and provide information required for revenue-related financial disclosures as well as manage staff members with continued focus on developing the team's skillsets and knowledge in revenue accounting.

Responsibilities


  • Apply advanced knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606)
  • Identify and implement improvements to automate revenue accounting processes including reconciliation of data, reporting, and analysis
  • Assist in monthly revenue, deferred revenue, and analytics that are useful for management review of actual results against expectations
  • Work closely with AIS and ERP teams to enhance and support ongoing improvement for RAR
  • Develop strong and collaborative working relationships with leaders in professional and educational services, contracts, product management, and others; maintain ongoing communication with key leaders to provide revenue recognition compliant solutions for new initiatives

Requirements


  • 5+ years of prior experience in public accounting or corporate accounting experience at the senior accountant or manager level
  • Strong ERP system knowledge, specifically with a revenue module
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, and problem solving
  • Ability to develop strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs
  • CPA with bachelor’s in Accounting (advanced degree in relevant field preferred)

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience with SAP, specifically RAR
  • Experience with SalesForce or other CRM
  • Experience with Apttus or other CLM
