Overview


Envision and execute marketing plans that will drive awareness, demand, and adoption of Esri Press publications to millions of users and students across the globe. Esri Press is the industry standard for delivering quality geospatial learning content.

In this role, you'll be responsible for marketing to educational institutions and users in all sectors as well as developing new user groups. You'll collaborate with your team, product management, education teams, and sales to create and execute marketing campaigns and outbound communication and messaging, book launches, and go-to-market strategies.
Our ideal candidate is a highly driven, self-motivated individual who will bring a fresh approach to reaching all segments of the market. They understand different types of marketing campaigns and can effectively leverage many of the marketing automation tools at their disposal.

Responsibilities


  • Build marketing campaigns and develop marketing materials, such as catalogs, flyers, reading lists, social media posts and blog articles, around new books, new book series, and audiences
  • Grow the recognition of Esri Press by creating and managing strategies for the website and online bookstore and leading its organization and communication presence at events
  • Grow and maintain book metadata in our title management system and across our distribution channels
  • Be the liaison to domestic and international book distributors
  • Create and manage book reviewer and influencer lists, retailer audits, forums, and sales and usage reports; use these to create strategies to increase visibility, adoption, and sales of publications
  • Manage the desk copy program, book shipments, and contract fulfillment

Requirements


  • 3+ years of marketing experience
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills, including the ability to drive on-time, on-budget, high-quality marketing efforts
  • Experience with marketing and sales in education
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sales and customer service skills
  • Bachelor’s in marketing, business, public relations, or communications

Recommended Qualifications


  • Prior experience in the publishing industry
  • Prior experience with Workfront project management software, Adobe Creative Cloud, Pardot, and SEO
