Overview


As an Operations Specialist, you’ll support key business operations for our Information Systems and Technology (IST) division. We’re looking for an individual with strong business and financial aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to lead processes and build strong relationships.

Responsibilities


  • Facilitate IST’s continual planning process including reviewing demands, coordinating approvals, and creating charge codes
  • Lead the vendor management program including coordination of vendor scorecards, the annual vendor summit, and face-to-face meetings with vendors at the Esri User Conference
  • Support the Volume Purchase Program for Esri distributors, including creating price lists and quotes, tracking and managing sales orders for all transactions, advising distributors on licensing needs, engaging with vendors to solve unique distributor issues, working with cross-functional teams to navigate Esri contract renewals, maintaining informational pages on the program, and serving as a point of contact for all licensing and billing inquiries
  • As you grow into your role, added responsibilities will include
    • Supporting the project delivery manager in implementing the IST annual planning process
    • Assuming the role of release manager to support the release process for changes being made to the production environment

Requirements


  • 3+ years of experience driving delivery and adoption of projects with information technology solutions and/or supporting IT processes
  • Experience applying analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment, setting priorities, and planning
  • Strong presentation and written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor communication style based on audience
  • Ability to develop strong interdepartmental and cross-functional working relationships within a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to lead processes confidently and independently
  • Bachelor's in any field

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience supporting the planning process, release management, or resource management
  • Finance background including budget management, calculation of costs and benefits, and cost allocation
