Overview


Leverage your experience in business development, sales, operations, and communications to operate the Esri partner operations deal desk, authorizing partner sales of Esri technology. With your eagerness to learn, work in our dynamic partner environment to orchestrate complex deals, teaming with others from a variety of departments to consider all business, technical, and strategic aspects. Ensure efficient and scalable sales authorization workflows by recommending process and system enhancements.

Responsibilities


  • Accelerate deal cycles by teaming with partners, partner account managers, technical enablement, legal, and customer service to maximize partner opportunities and increase Esri’s revenue
  • Provide deal guidance and creative solutions based on understanding selling programs, licensing models, common patterns, pricing, and business terms while maintaining internal standards and policies
  • Drive approvals of non-standard business terms and reduce ambiguity in support of partner deals
  • Coordinate order procedures with customer service
  • Provide transparency through tracking and reporting on sales authorizations and revenue worldwide
  • Identify training opportunities and coordinate with technical enablement to develop and communicate materials to all appropriate parties
  • Create documentation on the deal operations process as necessary
  • Gather requirements for program changes based on patterns and trends coming from partners
  • Recommend new opportunities and updates driven by changes in Esri’s technology and business goals
  • Assist in the implementation of improvements to support growth and scalability

Requirements


  • 4+ years in a commercial business role
  • Demonstrated experience to:
    • Ascertain, understand, communicate, and take action to meet business requirements
    • Advise on options, operational impacts, and mitigation
    • Maintain operation capability while reacting to business needs
    • Administer procedures and system workflows
    • Work well individually as well as part of a cross-functional team
    • Effectively prioritize, coordinate, and complete multiple simultaneous activities
    • Develop productive relationships with colleagues, partners, and management to meet targeted objectives
    • Utilize Microsoft Office products proficiently
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, time management, presentation, and writing skills
  • Bachelor’s in business, GIS, geography, or related field 

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Salesforce, and/or other business management/reporting systems
  • Familiarity with or exposure to Esri or other GIS technology
  • Experience working with customers in a service-oriented business environment
  • Proven experience preparing, reviewing, and presenting high quality proposals, business metrics, and reports
