Overview


We invite you to use your understanding of the infrastructure industry (electric, gas, water utilities, airports, maritime ports or rail organizations) and experience with geospatial technology to become an integral part of the Esri Infrastructure Partner Team. You’ll join a highly-skilled group of partner managers, sales professionals and solution engineers who collaborate with existing business partners and customers to identify new, innovative ways of using ArcGIS to help discover the value it brings to their organization.


We’re looking for individuals who are success oriented and collaborative team players who enjoy identifying and implementing strategies that will radically improve the challenges of the Infrastructure Markets. You’ll work closely with a team that helps our business partners take advantage of ArcGIS to offer unique value-added solutions while finding patterns, trends, and understanding hidden within complex business problems.

Responsibilities


  • Build relationships. Manage and grow a portfolio of business partner accounts. Leverage social media to build your professional network. Participate in trade shows, workshops, and seminars.
  • Understand our business partners. Demonstrate industry knowledge and its relevance to the application of GIS. Identify key stakeholders and business drivers for an organization.
  • Be an expert. Clearly articulate the strength and value of Esri technology as it relates to the industry. Consistently conduct research and pursue professional development to anticipate market changes.
  • Deliver results. Engage select partners in crafting and executing go-to-market plans. Assist business partners in defining/refining Esri-based solutions and offerings.
  • Collaborate with your team. Leverage your domain knowledge when working with cross-divisional teams to define and execute engagement strategies. Be motivated and resourceful and take initiative to resolve issues. Use whiteboard sessions and other techniques to support visual storytelling.

Requirements


  • 1+ years of consulting or professional sales experience providing solutions to businesses
  • Experience managing the sales cycle, creating partnerships, and establishing advocacy with customers
  • Understanding of account planning and opportunity strategy creation
  • Able to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization
  • Experience with insight selling methodologies, including understanding and mitigating threats
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in GIS, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Recommended Qualifications


  • Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and the infrastructure industry (electric, gas, and water utilities) as they relate to one another
  • General knowledge of spatial analysis and how it is used for problem solving
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles
