Overview


Leverage your extensive experience in project management and your superb interpersonal skills to solve complex business challenges and manage strategic initiatives. This is a great opportunity to use your leadership, business, and relationship management skills to support Esri’s growing Training Services business.

Responsibilities


  • Lead the planning and implementation of complex training services projects and initiatives to successful completion
  • Work with the training services leadership team to understand department processes, workflows, and business directives
  • Provide leadership for project teams; set goals and build strategy in alignment with department objectives
  • Maintain a deep understanding of project vision and clearly communicate goals, strategy, and direction to the project team
  • Define problems; conduct root cause analysis to understand the business need for projects as needed
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, milestones, and deliverables
  • Plan and schedule project timelines; communicate status, risks, and issues on an ongoing basis
  • Perform project reviews; assess project health and take appropriate action to get troubled projects back on track
  • Act as a trusted intermediary, facilitating discussions with key stakeholders, customers, management, and other cross-functional team members
  • Plan for and manage the organizational impact of change resulting from project outcomes
  • Develop and foster a creative and collaborative team environment
  • Evaluate and stay up to date with new project management technology and techniques
  • Maintain a high-level understanding of Esri corporate strategies and software development and product trends
  • Provide mentoring to other project managers as needed

Requirements


  • 8+ years of project management experience
    • 5+ years should include experience in a customer-facing environment
  • Completed Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or equivalent experience with the PMP process)
  • Demonstrated experience with guiding teams through successful project execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience with change management
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • An innate ability to be flexible and adapt to organizational changes
  • Superb communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, planning, science, or related field 

Recommended Qualifications


  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Understanding of Esri software
  • Experience in education/training, software development, or technical environment
  • MBA preferred

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

 

A reasonable estimate of the base pay range is $93,600.00 - $187,200.00.
