Overview


Oversee Esri's productization plan, the authoritative source of truth that provides the detailed description of the requirements to operationally implement the business processes, workflows, policies, and procedures necessary to release and support Esri products. You will use the product plan as the basis for defining and providing detailed information required to be used by various teams in Esri and their counterparts in every Esri international distributorship that must implement the business process, workflows, polices, and procedures.

Responsibilities


  • Create and maintain productization plans for all releases of assigned product(s)
  • Collaborate with the productization coordination team 
  • Plan details to assure all stakeholders have a common perspective on the goals and requirements as defined in the plan to assure each division has the information they need to build the processes and workflows necessary within their respective teams to successfully release the product
  • Provide post-release interpretive consultation with stakeholders within various Esri divisions, providing domain expert guidance on business/licensing model issues, business rules and policies, legal terms of use, and other topics as defined in the productization plan
  • Define the details for Esri general product selling programs and collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to provide detailed operational implementation guidance for other selling programs (EAs, Education, Non-Profit, US Federal Government)
  • Define detailed distribution availability matrix and business rules for the product (direct and digital sales, distributor direct and digital sales, Esri Partner Network)
  • Document product compatibility restrictions where appropriate
  • Define product specific terms of use, maintenance/subscription business rules and benefits, trial and evaluation software business rules, and physical deliverables when appropriate
  • Document localization plan
  • Define business rules from migrating from existing to newer products

Requirements


  • 2-5 years of work experience as a product manager or productization manager in a related area
  • Domain knowledge of professional concepts including:
    • product lifecycle
    • product plans
    • productization plans
    • business/licensing models
    • business rules
    • legal terms of use
    • distribution model
  • Bachelor’s in geography, engineering, design, computer science, business, or related field, or recent MBA graduate
