Overview


Provide vital communication support for Esri’s extensive portfolio of products. You will design, coordinate, and facilitate communications about our products to internal audiences, maintaining an authoritative location for internal content and collaborating with other business units to design effective and timely communication. In this role, you will work directly with our product teams and be responsible for building and executing on communication strategies, tactical plans, and release readiness.

Responsibilities


  • Implement internal communication plans, programs, and tactics through appropriate channels supporting Esri staff and distributors; contribute to the development of the communication plan in collaboration with product teams
  • Design, draft, and produce a variety of communication and creative materials, including internal announcements, video scripts, executive talking points, newsletters, banners, signage, presentations, invitations, and other related projects—all in a high-quality and timely manner
  • Draft and publish relevant content on the corporate intranet site; support internal social media campaigns by creating strong visual content
  • Help ensure communication materials effectively capture key messages, including the organization's business objectives, values, mission, and priorities
  • Organize stakeholder meetings, prepare necessary presentation materials, and assist with finalizing presentations for events
  • Coordinate internal product-related events, including interdepartmental briefings and quarterly department meetings
  • Develop new ways for sharing internal product information across teams and departments
  • Work collaboratively with business unit/functional area and other communication staff in the completion of projects from initial concept to distribution/posting
  • Adhere to schedules and deadlines
  • Track metrics to ensure the usage and effectiveness of communications channels
  • Manage a heavy workload, prioritize what is important, and stay cool under pressure
  • Plan and execute on multiple projects simultaneously in an organized fashion
  • Build relationships cross-functionally and collaborate well across a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Operate as an excellent verbal communicator with strong written skills and fastidious attention to detail

Requirements


  • 2 years of experience working in marketing, user experience, program management, or event coordination, ideally within a technology company
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, time management, presentation, and writing skills
  • Familiarity with content creation tools, including blogs, wiki, video, and graphic design
  • Storyteller with design skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • An appreciation for technology and willingness to learn high-level concepts
  • Ability to develop productive, strong relationships with internal teams and customers to meet targeted objectives
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple engagements
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn—must thrive in a dynamic cross-functional team environment
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to create reports, interpret results, and make recommendations on appropriate courses of action

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analytics, or similar geospatial technology
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and presenting high-quality presentations
  • Experience with social media for product promotion
