Are you an analytical UI/UX designer looking for growth? An opportunity exists to join the location analytics product development group as a Product Designer. Organizations around the globe use ArcGIS. In this role, you will work on products that integrate ArcGIS into Microsoft365, or, as part of the team building ArcGIS Insights for geovisual analytics.


You will work alongside colleagues to design how users interact with our software products and the overall design. Esri Designers are expected to design user flows all the way down to the details; including, exception handling and individual UI widgets; working with guidance and feedback from product owners and team leads. 


  • Work closely with the development team to understand overall user requirements
  • Create user experience workflow diagrams, wireframes, proof-of-concepts, and interactive prototypes
  • Create holistic design solutions that address business, brand, and user requirements
  • Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and the specifics of user centered design process
  • Present cohesive interaction, design, and user experiences
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and trends in spaces of web design
  • Manage an extensive body of work in a fast-paced environment


  • 1+ years of knowledge of user-centered design principles and platform interface guidelines
  • Experience creating diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface design; adhering to established pattern libraries would be advantageous
  • Proficient skills with design software including Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Working knowledge of HTML / CSS
  • Firm knowledge of requirements in the creative process to include typical time and resources needed to produce quality work, with efficiency on time, and to specification
  • Ability to work on a collaborative team; listen effectively, respect others’ perspectives and contributions, and offer and accept feedback openly
  • Bachelor’s in human computer interaction, graphic design, or related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Figma is beneficial
  • Preferred education will be a Master’s in human computer interaction, graphic design, or related field

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $66,560.00 - $100,880.00.
