Overview


You’re invited to join a small team of smart, dedicated colleagues who share a common mission: build products that make a difference. The ArcGIS REST API is the powerhouse behind ArcGIS Online, which changes the way we think about geographic data and empowers Esri customers to expand their use of GIS.

You’ll contribute to new functionality and perform automation testing on our products, making them more effective for our customers worldwide, and you’ll influence adoption through documentation and compelling samples. Your impact will be far reaching!

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with development and product teams to build new capabilities and define needed APIs
  • You’ll learn how the REST API is implemented in other Esri products, allowing you to stay current with the latest advancements in geospatial technology
  • Develop and perform automation testing to assess product quality; manage quality issues from the user community and other teams within Esri
  • Leverage your scripting skills to demonstrate how the REST API works
  • New features are released about four times a year, and you’ll create compelling samples that show best practice techniques
  • Be an advocate for our users and represent their requirements in product design and delivery
  • Author and maintain impactful REST API documentation that will help our users quickly find answers to their questions
  • You’ll work alongside our documentation team creating similar content for the rest of the ArcGIS platform
  • Can work remotely

Requirements


  • One (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation in which the required experience was gained
  • Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following: Cloud computing platforms; SOAP; REST; Python; JavaScript; and Java
  • Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field of study

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.



A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $72,800.00 - $124,800.00.
