Bring your passion for writing engaging and approachable content to a dynamic and influential team at Esri. The product writing team is looking for an experienced, creative, and hard-working writer to create help documentation, blog articles, videos, guides, and tutorials about ArcGIS Business Analyst. In this role as a product engineer writer, you will work closely with teams across Esri to create resources around real-world problem-solving, scenario-based learning, and applied GIS workflows. We are looking for individuals who have a strong planning, problem-solving and analytical mindset. Those who can translate complex ideas into clear and compelling messages within established deadlines are well-suited for this role.


  • Write and publish help documentation for ArcGIS Business Analyst
  • Create blog articles, videos, guides, and tutorials that provide guidance, best practices, and applied workflows
  • Collaborate with product marketing, product management, marketing, sales, development, and other teams to integrate documentation and other resources across Esri web pages


  • Portfolio Submission: Writing samples of your recent work
  • 1+ years of professional writing experience; ideally a blended background including technical and creative writing
  • Exposure to Esri and ArcGIS
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling content
  • Effective time management and organizational skills; work proactively and volunteer assistance without being asked and under tight turnaround
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently and set priorities and expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in an agile environment with a fluid mix of collaborative and independent work
  • Bachelors or higher in GIS, computer science, journalism, English, or related field
