Product Engineer - ArcGIS Enterprise Portal

As a product engineer on the team, you will work with a diverse cross-functional global team in an innovative and collaborative environment to drive new features and functionality from conception to release. You will be a key member of the development team, active in gathering user requirements, building and testing features, and helping our customers be successful by writing product documentations and blogs.

Responsibilities

• Gather user requirements; synthesize and translate into new feature and workflow improvements
• Collaborate with product engineers, product developers, and product management as needed across regions, product areas, and functions
• Lead testing activities and engagements across cross-functional teams to shape design and product direction
• Support customers by troubleshooting and triaging reported issues
• Provide goal-oriented direction in the face of ambiguity

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience with ArcGIS software and/or other GIS and mapping products
• Passion for creating products to solve customer problems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• A self-driven and quality focused mindset
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, including documentation and testing
• Bachelor’s or master’s in GIS, computer science, or a related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience with agile software development methodologies
• Proven ability to define, manage, and deliver quality geospatial solutions
• Familiarity with manual and automated testing practices for functional, regression and performance
• Understanding of web technology (REST, JSON, etc.)
• Familiarity with GitHub for project and issue creation and tracking
