As a key member of the content development team, you will have the opportunity to develop our demographic data strategy. Join the team and be part of shaping the design of our next generation content.

Responsibilities


  • Define the requirements for a modern content warehouse and data custodian process within Esri for all socioeconomic and demographic content
  • Collaborate with software and data developers to build processes to improve operational efficiency, data maintenance, and release timeliness
  • Establish and define internal customer requirements; translate them into new processes and workflow improvements
  • Build relationships and support existing internal customers to identify workflow enhancements and process gaps
  • Engage with Esri’s internal science and analytics community to identify and support their needs within the content development process
  • Develop a plan to improve the value, relevance, and applicability of content to our existing and future users

Requirements


  • 3+ years of data preparation, storage, and data management experience
  • 1+ years of proven experience with ArcGIS software or other geospatial technology
  • Experience with socioeconomic and demographic content
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to focus on detail and deliver work, in teams or individually
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Passion and ability to lead projects and make a difference
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in GIS, computer science, or a related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications


  • Knowledge of Python and other scripting languages
  • Industry experience in data development, production, or automation
  • Familiarity with system and web server administration
  • A high level of understanding of the preparation, management, conversion, and productization of data using automation and ETL tools, BI, or analytics software
