Come join a team of highly talented individuals as a product engineer focused on graph database engineering. This new team is building a new capability across the ArcGIS platform, which includes ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Enterprise products. Our goal with this exciting effort is to connect our customers' data, whether it is geospatial or not, and leverage the combined power of ArcGIS and graph engines to perform new types of analysis. This is an opportunity to help create a new way of analyzing patterns of life and spatial data together in ArcGIS. If you’ve worked in connected data problems, worked with semantic and graph engines, or built capabilities for link analysis, we’d like to talk to you!


This challenging opportunity allows you to leverage your skills to design and build new and innovative software product capabilities. You will work with a diverse group of engineers and developers to implement creative solutions to complex problems for managing and sharing information. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn best practices from individuals who have decades of combined experience building ArcGIS, a premiere GIS platform.


  • Work with users and industry experts to identify user requirements and customer workflows
  • Work with some of the top software engineers on the ArcGIS Pro team to envision, design, build, test, release, and support desktop and enterprise products
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product engineers, and other stakeholders to build and test ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise functionality related to graph databases, networks, and link analysis capabilities
  • Play a major part in the development process by determining product quality and release readiness
  • Grow your skillset in an environment that rewards professional development


  • 1+ years of software testing experience
  • 1+ years of experience using an application development language, such as C++, C#, Java, and/or Python
  • Knowledge of Esri’s ArcGIS platform and online services, or other GIS products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and tasks as needed in a fast-paced work environment
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, engineering, GIS, data science, or related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience with graph and relational databases
  • Experience with network or link analysis workflows
  • Experience writing technical documents for a variety of audiences
