You'll join an agile team of talented engineers, data scientists, and consultants within Professional Services to deliver focused geospatial products using Esri’s industry-leading ArcGIS system that helps our customers address real-world challenges in routing and optimization, commercial applications, and the big data space.

Responsibilities


  • Contribute to our next generation product in design, testing, documentation, demonstrations, and evangelize software capabilities
  • Provide best practices, user documentation, demonstrations, and technical assistance for the product
  • Work with software developers to design, build, test, and release high quality software
  • Provide creative, logical, and practical solutions within given constraints of time and resources
  • Advocate for users of the product, using your problem-solving skills to address user needs and improve software quality
  • Communicate with product users to identify product requirements and advocate for their needs throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Research industry standards and specifications to translate requirements to software design
  • Define and complete robust test workflows

Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience supporting commercial software development
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn – you must thrive in a dynamic cross-functional team environment
  • Experience developing, executing, and interpreting automated, functional, regression, and performance tests
  • Experience with complex data sets within an enterprise-level environment
  • Enthusiasm for improving software capabilities for end users in real-world application
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • CI/CD experience
  • Bachelor’s or master's in computer science, data science, computer engineering, GIS, mathematics, or related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications


  • Prior experience with cloud platforms such as Databricks, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps
  • Working knowledge of a source control and issue management system, preferably GitHub
  • Professional experience using one or more of the following programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, Scala, Node
  • Familiarity with Spark
