Our team is looking for someone who wants an opportunity to drive the new development of maps for Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Teams. Microsoft SharePoint is used to create websites and as a place to store, organize, share, and access information from any device while Microsoft Teams provides a hub for collaboration.

 

In this role, you will play a key part in adding the spatial component to these products so location and engaging maps become part of the conversation.

Responsibilities


  • Advocate for users of the product, using problem-solving skills to identify issues in our software and discover root causes
  • Join forces with developers on software project teams to build robust, high-quality, and scalable software
  • Research industry standards and specifications to translate requirements into software design
  • Partner with product management to discover opportunities for improvement in the software
  • Drive forward the development and adoption of a continuous integration workflow, contributing your analytic abilities to the development of advanced automation framework and test harness design
  • Define and complete robust test workflows
  • Provide best practices, user documentation, demonstrations, and technical assistance for the product

Requirements


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to decipher complex problems and perform root cause analyses
  • 1+ years of software testing or development experience
  • A self-driven and quality focused mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Some exposure to Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerBI, or Microsoft SharePoint
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience using web technology (REST, JSON, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, etc.)
  • Experience in a modern scripting language (JavaScript, Ruby, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with testing tools and automation test drivers such as Selenium, JUnit, Microsoft Test Manager, Jenkins, or related technologies
  • Experience developing and executing automated tests for functional, regression, and performance testing
