Overview


Apply your remote sensing education and experience to help our software products team test, document, and deploy Esri technologies in the field of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging and radar signal processing. In this role, you will work with development and product engineer leads who are designing and developing engineering solutions, testing, and developing documentation for the products. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a project team assisting with the development of complex, state-of-the-art software systems for airborne and space SAR applications.

Responsibilities


  • Test and document image analysis capabilities
  • Test, verify, and validate radar sensor and signal processing algorithm requirements and performance
  • Design and test radar workflows
  • Work in a team environment to provide engineering support to customers through participation in project design reviews and peer reviews for all phases of radar/SAR development tasks
  • Support the development and operation of automated and manual QA tests on standard operating procedures (SOPs), image quality metric evaluations, and regression testing

Requirements


  • 4-5 years of experience specifically in SAR image processing and/or radar signal processing
  • Experienced with concepts such as interferometry and other radar applications
  • Prior coursework or experience in areas of digital/radar signal processing
  • A strong drive and interest to learn new technologies quickly and work in a fast-paced software development environment 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's or master's in computer science or related field

Recommended Qualifications


  • Hands-on imagery experience
  • Experience with ArcGIS, ENVI, ERDAS IMAGINE 
  • Experience writing technical user documentation or technical developer documentation
  • Experience designing modern commercial software
