As a Product Engineer for Upgrades and Patching, you will work closely with development and release engineers in designing, building, testing, and effective delivery of major releases and periodic updates to the software product. Members of this team develop a deep understanding of customer needs and product capabilities. Our product engineers provide a strong technical voice in the product development process and use the best tools available to build highly reliable, sustained, and evolutionary software.

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with developers, fellow product engineers, and release engineers to design, build, and deliver upgrades and patches for ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Assist with design, implementation, and quality assurance of software update processes and backend API’s for on-premises and cloud infrastructure
  • Plan, execute, and certify hotfix, patches, and upgrades prior to the release
  • Triage and troubleshoot customer issues
  • Share workflows via help topics, blog posts, conference presentations, tutorials, and samples

Requirements


  • 2 to 5 years of experience with deployment and administration of ArcGIS or similar enterprise software
  • 1+ years of experience in software testing
  • Fundamental understanding of web services, such as REST and more
  • Ability to automate workflows using Java, Python, or other scripting languages
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science and applications, math, GIS, geography, or related field
  • Existing work authorization for India

Recommended Qualifications


  • Master's degree in engineering, computer science and applications, math, GIS, geography or related field
  • Experience with building and delivering software products, patches, and updates
  • Experience with developing and implementing test plans using test frameworks, such as Selenium, JMeter, or Ready API
  • Knowledge of Linux, Docker containers, and orchestration, such as Kubernetes
