You will be responsible for synthesizing and prioritizing requirements from customers and key industry partners to maintain and develop product plans and roadmaps for ArcGIS CityEngine, the Procedural Runtime Engine, and technology projects that extend CityEngine and GIS into 3D industry workflows and tools. You will work with an extended team of developers, professional services, marketing, sales, partners, and customers to refine, maintain, and promote the story and vision of ArcGIS CityEngine to help drive awareness and adoption. This role is an integral part of our efforts to engage customers, solve problems, and influence industry groups and strategic partners to better integrate geospatial data and technology into the tools and workflows that shape the world around us.

Responsibilities


  • Clarify, prioritize, and evangelize the roadmap for ArcGIS CityEngine, the Procedural Runtime Engine, and related technologies and products required to grow market and customer adoption around urban planning, Architecture and Engineering, and related visualization markets
  • Oversee the process of engaging with customers and partners to gather requirements, prioritize needs, and understand business workflows, specifically focusing on ArcGIS CityEngine, Unreal Engine plug-ins, and projects such as the integration of the Procedural Runtime with Safe Software’s FME and other products
  • Coordinate strategic effort around customer and partner engagement with colleagues in Global Business Development, Industry Management, and Professional Services
  • Develop deep knowledge of the 3D industry related to CityEngine and procedural technology including urban planning, defense simulation, and architectural design
  • Evangelize products and technologies in your subject area through blogs, papers, and presentations
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and other groups to develop and maintain go-to-market plans, working with distributors and Esri channel teams to drive execution
  • Communicate product plans and messaging to partners and distributors to evangelize Esri’s role in strategic industries
  • Analyze potential partner relationships and advise software development and the business team about industry needs and licensing requirements

Requirements


  • Proven experience with 3D-related technology or products in industries such as urban planning or architecture, preferably with familiarity of CityEngine and procedural technology
  • 1+ years of experience or equivalent in the product management, development, release, and support of software development in an Agile environment (3+ years preferred)
  • Capability to effectively document and verbally communicate market requirements as user stories and other software development artifacts to technical staff
  • Ability to present to customers and to cultivate strategic relationships with customers and partners
  • Ability to work well with remote management and staff
  • Experience developing productive relationships with customers, partners, colleagues, and management
  • Excellent and demonstrated writing, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Self-motivated, creative, and team-oriented
  • Ability to accommodate work across time zones spanning Central Europe and Pacific zones
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Bachelor’s or higher in GIS, architecture, urban planning, engineering, or other relevant field, depending on position level and experience

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience with design or engineering applications and technology for visualization, architecture, GIS, or urban planning
  • Consulting services and/or project management experience associated with AEC practice, urban planning applications, or city modeling technologies in real-world contexts
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and design techniques
  • Writing samples
