Overview


How would you like to contribute to a product used by hundreds of thousands of users across desktop and mobile devices that gives them access to 3D maps anywhere? In this role, you would identify and prioritize industry requirements for a product effort charged with defining, building, and releasing ArcGIS Earth, a lightweight, easy-to-use client application for users to browse maps, explore 3D content, and share information.
This role will focus on the use of ArcGIS Earth within large enterprise user communities in federal and state government. You will be expected to find and realize additional opportunities for ArcGIS Earth to bring the value of ArcGIS into everyday user workflows including related technologies such as imagery, IoT, and more.

Responsibilities


  • Oversee the process of engaging with key customers and partners in strategic industries to gather requirements, prioritize needs, and understand business workflows, specifically focusing on ArcGIS Earth and related standards and data formats
  • Identify, prioritize, and evangelize the roadmap required to meet key market and customer segment adoption milestones
  • Align roadmap with platform goals for data interoperability, user experience, and technology adoption
  • Develop deep knowledge of open specifications and standards, including KML and I3S, required to support key markets and to recommend changes and additions to help standard adoption internally and externally
  • Maintain information on the products through product docs, white papers, and presentations
  • Develop and maintain product go-to-market plan, working with distributors and Esri HQ to execute
  • Communicate product plans and messaging to partners and distributors to evangelize Esri’s role in strategic industries
  • Analyze potential partner relationship

Requirements


  • Proven experience in federal government GIS operations with a focus on defense and law enforcement workflows
  • Ability to present to customers and to cultivate strategic relationships with customers and partners
  • Ability to work well with remote management and staff
  • Ability to engage, drive, and support sales initiatives across multiple teams and geographic locations
  • Capability to effectively document and verbally communicate market requirements to software development technical staff
  • Experience developing productive relationships with customers, partners, colleagues, and management
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Self-motivated, creative, and team-oriented
  • US citizenship and ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's or master's in computer science, GIS, or related field
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%
