How would you like to work on a community engagement platform that enables collaboration between everyday people, governments, NGOs, businesses, and universities around the globe? ArcGIS Hub, Esri’s platform for community engagement, organizes people, data, applications, and related activities around the initiatives and projects that transform communities into the places we all want to live and work. We are looking for new voices and more hands to help shape the roadmap and fulfill the vision of ArcGIS Hub.

In this role, you will assist in gathering market requirements and influencing the product roadmap and strategy for ArcGIS Hub. The person who accepts the role will be a key team member for evangelizing and enabling sales and customers to help drive product adoption. The successful candidate will exhibit the ability to balance competing priorities, synthesize research to deliver valuable market insights, and create compelling written and visual materials that can be used by internal staff, channel partners, and customers.

Responsibilities


  • Perform market research by interviewing prospective and existing customers to determine market needs
  • Research and document user personas, user scenarios, user cases, and detailed product requirements for new industry segments and workflows
  • Assist senior product managers in the development and maintenance of the product vision, strategy, and road map
  • Coordinate with senior product managers, software development, product engineers, and designers to ensure that features match expectations of our users
  • Identify gaps and sticking points in the customer journey and work with team members to alleviate product adoption blockers
  • Become a technical, go-to expert on the product with the ability to create impactful product demonstrations
  • Create sales, partner, and customer enablement materials, including how-to videos, presentations, and blogs
  • Provide the necessary support and training to sales and distribution channels to help expedite sales
  • Work alongside product marketing to create marketing messages and supporting content for target audiences, including blog posts, and web content review
  • Identify and research competing products and tools
  • Support trade shows and conferences as needed

Requirements


  • 2+ years of software product management experience
  • Proven experience researching, summarizing, and drawing conclusions (market) information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Experience creating effective presentations, videos, blogs, written articles, or similar materials
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in GIS, business analytics, marketing, data analytics, economics, or similar field

Recommended Qualifications


  • Previous exposure and experience with GIS, especially ArcGIS Online
  • Strong ability to empathize with the needs of customers
  • Strong attention to detail and an innate sense of curiosity
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems or convey information
