The ArcGIS Online product and team are at the heart of the ArcGIS system, changing and reinventing the way our customers think about geographic data and empowering them to expand the use of GIS across their organizations and to the world. As the product manager, you will be on a team responsible for creating, building, and growing this worldwide SaaS-based system and services!

The successful candidate will have proven software product management experience based on market opportunities and innovation. Your emphasis will be on customer interaction, being the product expert, building team relationships, and influencing the product’s development priorities.

Responsibilities


  • Understand and communicate how customers are using the product and new problems we can solve with innovative features and workflows
  • Organize and share customer requirements and priorities with the development team to collaborate and prioritize on the product’s roadmap
  • Lead customer product briefings and conference presentations
  • Organize and manage key conference agendas and staff assignments
  • Represent ArcGIS Online as the product expert on social media platforms including the Esri Community, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Manage and communicate the product’s roadmap to customers and staff
  • Collaborate with Global Business Development, the partner team, distributors, and product marketing to develop and execute go-to-market strategies
  • Work with customers, potential customers, our Professional Services organization, and partners to develop features and releases that solve problems and provide value
  • Develop product marketing messages to create demand for the product
  • Develop and manage project plans for launch and software updates
  • Work with the contracts and legal teams to establish and update end user and third-party legal and service level agreements
  • Write technical papers and assist with generation of marketing materials and social media marketing including blogs
  • Provide product expertise at key customer sites to understand their business needs and assist with mission critical projects
  • Organize and support trade shows and conferences
  • Ensure internal launch readiness for product updates with sales, technical support, customer service, and training

Requirements


  • Deep experience working with SaaS products and customers
  • Proven experience managing SaaS and mobile products
  • Technical expertise of SaaS, web services, and web APIs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to present to customers and to cultivate strategic relationships with customers and partners
  • Ability to work well with remote management and staff
  • Capability to effectively document and verbally communicate market requirements to development staff
  • Self-motivated, creative, and team-oriented
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Bachelor’s or higher in a technical field or in business, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience in GIS, ArcGIS Online, and location-based content
  • Experience and certifications with the Pragmatic Marketing Framework
