Overview


ArcGIS Runtime SDKs include a set of APIs for Android, iOS, Java, Qt, and .NET developers to build native mapping applications for mobile and desktop platforms. As a product manager, you will inspire our developer community while driving the vision and technical roadmap for our ArcGIS Runtime SDKs. This opportunity will utilize your diverse skillset by exercising your technical knowledge, your ability to evangelize to our developer community, and setting the strategy for how these products are used across the ArcGIS system.

This role requires a highly driven, self-motivated individual who will work with our development staff, regional offices, distributors, and partners to provide pre- and post-sales support.

Responsibilities


  • Engage with Esri’s global community of developers and partners to understand their needs as they relate native application development and ArcGIS Runtime SDKs
  • Collaborate with development teams to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Evangelize the product in Esri’s developer community by attending industry trade shows, conferences, hackathons, and webinars
  • Maintain technical product information throughout the development life cycle and release by contributing to technical papers, presentations, and product plans
  • Serve as subject matter expert for ArcGIS Runtime SDKs with customers, partners, and distributors by researching and staying up to date with current technology trends
  • Work closely with internal teams such as technical support, business development, marketing, and competitive intelligence to successfully launch new releases and educate on product updates

Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience in product management/ownership or technical consulting
  • 1+ years of experience developing native apps for mobile and/or desktop platforms
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at the technical level
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
  • Energetic, creative, and self-motivated
  • Ability to attend and present at conferences
  • Bachelor’s or master's in computer science, GIS, or related fields of study, depending on position level
