Overview


Imagery is foundational to GIS and there is great demand for the ability to process, analyze, and extract actionable information from imagery and rasters, using desktop and cloud infrastructures. As product manager, you will be instrumental in enabling and promoting these capabilities of the ArcGIS system.

In this role, with your strong experience and background in remote sensing and imagery, you will need to fully understand the requirements of the many users in multiple industries that are performing varying types of analysis with different imagery modalities (Aerial, Satellite, Oriented Imagery, Video, Multidimensional, Radar, Elevation, Thematic). You will work closely with and communicate clearly with other product managers and many different teams within Esri.

Responsibilities


  • Be a part of managing the strategic planning and tactical activities across imagery analytics in the imagery and remote sensing capabilities stack
  • Be a subject matter expert on aspects related to deep learning, multidimensional analysis, and radar
  • Specify market requirements for current and future analysis of imagery and remote sensing by conducting research supported by ongoing interaction with customers and partners
  • Work closely with development/engineering professionals to make sure market requirements are met
  • Work closely with sales and marketing to define product positioning and successfully launch new capabilities and products
  • Evaluate partner and sales channel opportunities
  • Continue to evaluate and evolve business models to help drive adoption and usage
  • Support conferences such as the Esri Developer Summit and Esri User Conference

Requirements


  • 2+ years of practical experience in the geospatial field, focused on imagery and remote sensing
  • Demonstrable experience writing well-crafted user stories and/or use cases
  • Superior presentation skills and command of the English language
  • Excellent written communication, storytelling, and persuasion skills
  • The ability to understand technology and grasp technical concepts quickly
  • Ability to travel on occasion to customer sites and conferences
  • Basic experience in working with python
  • Experience working with radar
  • Bachelor's in computer science, business, engineering, or other analytical or technical field

Recommended Qualifications


  • Familiarity with the ArcGIS system, including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Web APIs
  • Experience with geospatial technology especially ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Knowledge of image processing and analysis
  • Experience in the Pragmatic Framework
