Overview


Oriented imagery is non-traditional mapping imagery such as oblique, streetside, and 360 spherical that have location and orientation to enable users to quickly visualize and take measurements of objects as well as input for different AI analysis and feature extraction. Massive volumes of such imagery are being collected and need to be managed and analyzed.

 

In this role, you will be a subject matter expert in all aspect of this imagery, clearly understanding and documenting user requirements and aiding in the development of the associated products. The position requires great technical expertise and ability to communicate with customers as well as Esri business partners that collect such imagery. You will be required to work closely and communicate clearly with not only other product managers but colleagues across the organization.

Responsibilities


  • Manage the full requirement definition of the related product
  • Be a subject matter expert at all aspects related to oriented imagery in desktop and cloud environments
  • Identify market requirements
  • Work closely with development/engineering professionals to make sure market requirements are met
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to define product positioning and successfully launch new capabilities and products
  • Evaluate partner and sales channel opportunities and aid partners in their successful implementations

Requirements


  • 3+ years of experience in the geospatial field focused in imagery and remote sensing
  • Experience working with or developing tools that work with various types of oriented imagery
  • Experience working with UX/UI professionals on user-centered designs and usability
  • Excellent written communication, storytelling, and persuasion skills
  • The ability to understand technology and grasp technical concepts quickly
  • Programming experience in JavaScript and webGL
  • Ability to travel on occasion to customer sites and conferences
  • Bachelor's or master’s in computer science, business, engineering, or other analytical or technical field

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience with geospatial technology. especially ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Demonstratable project implementing remote sensing in a commercial setting
