ArcGIS Hub is a web platform that empowers customers to connect with their communities, share data, and collaborate using location-based tools. With over a hundred million impressions last year alone, it is fast becoming the de facto product of choice for organizations to collaborate on and showcase their work. 

 

We are seeking a QA focused Product Engineer to work directly with development teams to ensure functionality meets our high standards of release readiness. This includes evaluating existing and new functionality’s resilience and reliability through our testing procedures and toolsets. 

 

Responsibilities


  • As a QA Product Engineer for one of the ArcGIS Hub scrum teams, you will help us ensure we are continuously delivering a high-quality product to customers
  • Collaborate with Area Product Owners and Software Engineers to identify, codify, and maintain test cases integrated into automated and manual testing suites
  • Review and analyze results of test suites and procedures to certify whether software quality meets release requirements 
  • Partner with Area Product Owners to construct change management plans for feature releases large and small 
  • Evaluate severity and priority of defect issues submitted through Esri Support Services for resolution by development teams 
  • Manage Scrum performance monitoring procedures to facilitate productive software development and collaboration across the Scrum team 

Requirements


  • 2+ years working in software development QA/QC or testing role within an agile development environment 
  • Intermediate understanding of web development fundamentals, such as HTML/CSS, components, APIs, and UI/UX design 
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and reporting on test cases/plans for functionality throughout the software development lifecycle 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, including the ability to identify, document, and collaborate with others to resolve software weaknesses 
  • Familiarity with GIS technology, particularly the ArcGIS platform 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, GIS, or related field 

Recommended Qualifications


  • Certified Scrum Master or robust knowledge of Scrum practices

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

 

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $72,800.00 - $124,800.00.
