Overview


Evangelize and support ArcGIS imagery functionality by creating useful and relevant resources that communicate and educate ArcGIS users. In this role, you will work with development and product engineer leads in designing, creating, and publishing content such as documentation, recommended workflows, videos, blogs, use case studies, and other rich media.

Responsibilities


  • Design, author, and publish imagery-related content that helps our imagery users be more successful with ArcGIS
  • Contribute as a software documentation author; write and edit understandable and easy to follow user documentation for ArcGIS
  • Contribute as an author to multiple SDKs; work with technical product engineers and developers to write clear developer documentation for ArcGIS Pro, Python, and JavaScript APIs
  • Review and edit imagery workflow and solutions documentation and technical papers
  • Write and publish ArcGIS blogs focusing on imagery and remote sensing
  • Design, author, and publish tutorial, “how to,”and workflow videos for platforms such as YouTube
  • Review and respond to imagery and remote sensing questions on ArcGIS forums
  • Collaborate with multiple teams passionate about their work on content for imagery-related story maps, cartographic web maps, and learn lessons
  • Visit successful user sites and write use case studies and success stories
  • Participate in and help attract users to holistic lab testing and help them be successful

Requirements


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for distilling complex topics into understandable software documentation and creating useful content which helps others be successful with ArcGIS
  • 2+ years of GIS and/or remote sensing/image processing and/or photogrammetry/image analysis experience
  • 1+ years of experience with ArcGIS products
  • Ability to manage detailed information and multi-task
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, geography, remote sensing, or related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience writing technical user documentation or technical developer documentation
  • Experience designing modern web sites and/or pages
  • Experience creating rich media content such as videos and podcasts
