Overview


Join the ArcGIS StoryMaps team and help us build a new digital storytelling tool with unprecedented mapping capabilities. Authors around the world use story maps to drive change, influence opinion, and create awareness with their stories getting millions of pageviews a day.


You will work with designers and developers to design, build, and run cutting-edge responsive web application and native mobile apps. You will be responsible for delivering a stable and useful product that meets customer needs.

 

As a qualified candidate, you uphold a high-quality bar and have a strong appreciation for the details and understand the value of clear communication. Above all, you approach problems holistically and create elegantly simple solutions to multi-faceted problems.

Responsibilities


  • Support and maintain build and deployment pipelines to facilitate continuous integration, continuous delivery, and test automation of product implementations

  • Work closely with product development teams to identify, prioritize, and ensure key issues are fixed for a release

  • Triage and troubleshoot issues relating to CI and CD pipelines

  • Execute performance and load testing

  • Design and develop test plans and test cases, write test code, and execute and analyze tests to support and enhance overall product quality

Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience with QA processes, release planning, commercial test frameworks, test design strategies
  • Experience in releasing cloud native web applications
  • Knowledge of cloud computing AWS or GCP and familiarity with Jenkins
  • Release management or project management experience
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work in cooperative team environments
  • A team player who can take initiative to help where/when needed to fill gaps/need 
  • Bachelor’s or higher in software engineering, GIS, or related field (master’s preferred)

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience working on a consumer-facing software product
  • Experience in software engineering or design
  • Familiarity with GIS and/or the ArcGIS platform
  • Familiarity with the Agile software development life cycle
