Overview


Be a key influencer for Professional Services' ability to support forward-leaning work through the application of your information security knowledge. This role ensures that Esri secure enclaves are built and are operated to effectively comply with NIST requirements.

The Esri.Tech Enclave cyber-security development team needs an individual to administer on-premises secure systems to protect DoD, Federal and commercial sensitive information.  Currently Esri is conducting implementation and continuous monitoring of Esri.Tech Enclave systems.  These systems are defined as (1) Professional Services components of the Esri.Tech Enclave (CMMC-certified) domain and (2) DoD classified systems developed under the RMF process. 

Responsibilities


  • Provide engineering and other support to the system architect for all aspects of NIST-based system development, integration, and operations such as:
    • Technology integration
    • Hardware and software integration
    • Monitoring and coordination of patch management activities
    • Monitoring of the remote access solution
    • Monitoring, management and implementation of access control
    • System Security Plan implementation
    • Data cutover event activities
    • Technical consulting
    • Resolution of minor system incidents
    • Participating in configuration change management activities
    • Providing evidence and artifacts to external auditors 
    • POA&M issue resolution.
  • Maintain familiarity with support applications and subject matter for secure systems implementation and operations such as ServiceNow, inventory/configuration management, vulnerability management, Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, Firewall Access Rules, Group Policies, System Hardening
  • Support day-to-day ticketing incidents that evolve to require engineering change to existing systems
  • May hold one or more NIST-specified IT roles for Enclave Components such as ISSO, Security Administrator, Vulnerability Assessor, etc.

Requirements


  • Experience supporting engineering and implementation of secure systems
  • Familiarity with systems administration of secure system configurations such as stand-alone LANs, on-premises configurations, FedRAMP-based environments, or others
  • Strong IT background with knowledge of selected security practice areas such as access control, application security, network security, security architecture, security strategy, etc.
  • Experience with implementation, secure configuration, and operation of Microsoft-based or Linux systems
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills related to technical topics
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cyber security, or a related field
  • 5+ years of information security administration experience with either cloud environments or on-premises systems.
  • US. citizenship and willingness to obtain a security clearance

Recommended Qualifications


  • CompTIA Security + Certification
  • Other Valued Certifications: CISSP, SSCP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC
