Overview


Contribute to growing the use of Esri technology to help new customers realize how leveraging ArcGIS can solve their data acquisition and collection challenges. You’ll work closely with a highly-skilled team that helps our customers take advantage of managing, visualizing, and sharing imagery and raster data across the intelligence community.
We invite you to use your program-based experience of systems engineering and image science within intelligence agencies in the United States to become an integral part of the account team. We’re looking for individuals who are customer oriented and collaborative team players who enjoy identifying and implementing strategies that will help Esri to grow into new parts of the community.

Responsibilities


  • Build relationships. Prospect, develop, and implement location strategies for large, complex organizations. Create and lead new opportunities within high-level lines of business. Participate in and present at community working groups and technical exchanges.
  • Understand our customers. Use your advanced industry and image science domain knowledge and its relevance to the application of GIS to clearly articulate the strength and value of Esri technology. Identify key stakeholders within organizations and gain access to executive, enterprise-level decision makers. Understand complex customer budgeting and acquisition processes.
  • Be an expert. Demonstrate expert knowledge of Esri imagery and remote sensing technology and its value proposition within the U.S. Intelligence agencies. Consistently conduct research and pursue professional development to ensure competitive knowledge and translate this into countering messages. Expertly plan and prepare negotiations with customers.
  • Deliver results. Work with the National Government Account Managers to successfully execute the sales cycle to close new opportunities in order to meet sector goals. Work creatively to develop solutions that help clients reach their goals and initiatives. Use your technical innovation and community awareness to inspire customer solutions.
  • Collaborate with your team. Execute account strategies by consistently collaborating with cross-divisional teams and Esri partners. Be motivated and resourceful and take initiative to resolve issues. Lead by example through perseverance and initiative.

Requirements


  • 10+ years of technical experience in the intelligence community, providing expertise for a variety of customer and programs
  • Experience managing technical teams, creating partnerships, and establishing advocacy with large customers
  • Able to develop innovative imagery solutions around existing Esri technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of U.S. intelligence agencies and their strategies and technology priorities
  • Knowledge of new technology trends and the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers
  • Deep understanding of image science, systems engineering, image exploitation, and analytics
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
  • US citizenship and the ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in image science, remote sensing, systems engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Recommended Qualifications


  • Deep understanding of GIS, image exploitation and analytics, and Esri technology
  • Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization
  • Experience with insight selling methodologies, including understanding and mitigating threats
  • Understanding of commercial data sources of interest to the intelligence community
  • Ability to position the benefits of cloud and enterprise image management solutions to manage, host, and stream large imagery collections within the Intelligence community
