Senior Accountant - Inventory

Overview

Be responsible for managing the flow of inventory and other company assets in financial systems and key controls and corporate policies supporting these activities. This includes monthly accounting and closing responsibilities for both consignment and e-commerce inventories. You will also be responsible for performing physical inventory and asset counts.

Responsibilities

• Financial management of inventory and other company assets including the reconciliation, analysis, and reporting of these assets
• Performance and review of physical counts of inventory and other company assets on a regular basis and resolve errors or discrepancies as they arise
• Utilize knowledge of key internal control concepts to create, update, standardize, and improve documentation of business processes and internal controls for inventory and company assets
• Consignment inventory review, accrual, and analysis
• Inventory sales and activity reporting
• Assist in monthly close process including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis for inventory
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements

Requirements

• High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize demands and meet deadlines
• Ability to perform physical counts across headquarters campus and lift up to 25 lbs
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, and problem solving
• Ability to develop strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Bachelor’s in accounting

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of prior experience in an inventory accounting role or similar position
• Experience with SAP or other large ERP system
• Current or actively working to obtain a CPA license
