Overview


As a member of the front-end development team, you will build new features for Esri’s marketing websites. We work in a fast-paced environment using Agile/Scrum methodology to support multiple enterprise-wide content management systems. We encourage innovation and expect developers to work collaboratively with designers, developers, SEO experts, IT, analysts, and executives.

Responsibilities


  • Work closely with stakeholders to build exciting new web experiences
  • Build mobile-first web interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues
  • Maintain existing site code with an eye for continuous automation and improvement
  • Review and test code against modern browsers and mobile devices
  • Provide expertise for the development and management of the Esri front-end framework and making the necessary adjustments and feature additions to stay up to date with latest coding practices
  • Provide support and innovation in front-end architectures, best practices and build processes
  • Manage versioning and deployment of application source code, including source control management, branching, tagging, and more

Requirements


  • 5 years of web development experience with multiple release cycles and a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years of experience and a Master's degree 
  • Hands-on knowledge of enterprise CMS (preferably AEM)
  • Proven expert with web development skills, including cross-browser HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Mobile-first development experience
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Self-directed team player who thrives in a continually changing environment
  • Strong customer service and client services skills

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience building HTML components in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.5), including using core components and dynamic media
  • Experience customizing WordPress
  • Knowledge of ES6
  • Experience implementing accessibility best practices to meet WCAG 2.0 guidelines
  • Knowledge of CI/CD
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

  

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $83,200.00 - $145,600.00.
