Responsibilities


  • Analyze and interpret information necessary to accurately report Esri's tax position
  • Prepare timely and accurate tax filings for federal, state, and local U.S. jurisdictions
  • Ensure compliance with applicable jurisdictional regulations and internal policies and procedures
  • Explore new ways to use technology that improve processes for gains in accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain current knowledge of relationships between company accounting records and tax reporting requirements
  • Work on tax audits and notices (IRS, states)
  • Perform reconciliation on tax-related general ledger accounts

Requirements


  • 3-5 years of tax experience including working knowledge of tax law and codes
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in U.S. federal and state income tax laws
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, and problem solving
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs
  • Ability to research tax law and rulings as necessary
  • Master's in taxation or CPA

Recommended Qualifications


  • Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP software
  • Knowledge of common corporate tax preparation and research software tools
  • Knowledge of international income taxes
