As Product Manager, you will be responsible for synthesizing and prioritizing requirements from customers and key industry partners to develop plans for how Esri can deliver products and solutions for 3D in our European markets. You will develop and maintain product plans and requirements covering a growing portfolio of offerings and experiences that meet customer needs for both building 3D smart cities tools as well as for embedding more 3D GIS capability in AEC workflows. You will interact with European Esri R&D center staff to help connect them with customer needs and with the corporate PM leadership team. This role is an integral part of our efforts to engage customers, solve problems, and influence industry groups and strategic partners to better integrate geospatial data and technology into the tools and workflows that shape the world around us.


  • Clarify, prioritize, and evangelize the roadmap for the portfolio of products required to meet key market and customer segment adoption milestones for the use of 3D in the smart cities, AEC, and related industries
  • Oversee the process of engaging with strategic customers and partners to gather requirements, prioritize needs, and understand business workflows, specifically focusing on the integration of Esri technology with leading vendor technology workflows and business models
  • Coordinate strategic effort with partners in Global Business Development, Industry Solutions, and Professional Services
  • Develop deep knowledge of 3D GIS relevant to Esri customer European industries and domains
  • Share and communicate to customers and users information about products through blogs, white papers, and presentations
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and other teams to develop and maintain go-to-market plans, working with distributors and Esri channel teams to drive execution
  • Communicate product plans and messaging to partners and distributors to evangelize Esri’s role in strategic industries
  • Analyze potential partner relationships


  • Proven experience in 3D GIS, AEC technology on multiple platforms, reality capture technologies, or other relevant 3D technology experience
  • 3+ years of proven experience in the product management, development, release, and support of software technology in an Agile environment (5+ years preferred)
  • Experience with design or engineering applications and technology for visualization, architecture, GIS, or urban planning
  • Ability to present to customers and to cultivate strategic relationships with customers and partners
  • Ability to work well with remote management and staff
  • Capability to effectively document and verbally communicate market requirements to technical software development staff
  • Experience developing productive relationships with customers, partners, colleagues, and management
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Self-motivated, creative, and team-oriented
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Bachelor’s or higher in GIS, computer science, engineering, or other relevant field, depending on position level
  • Written and verbal fluency in at least one continental European language, such as German, French, or Spanish, and English 

Recommended Qualifications

  • Consulting services and/or project management experience associated with AEC practice, applications, or technologies in real-world contexts
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and design techniques
