Help lead a team that is building better products and solutions to integrate into architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) workflows, parcel management, and utility network management.


As senior product manager, you will be responsible for synthesizing and prioritizing requirements from customers and key industry partners to develop a portfolio plan for how Esri can deliver products and solutions for the AEC and smart assets markets. You will develop and maintain a strategic plan for a growing portfolio of offerings and experiences that meet customer needs for both improved construction project delivery and feeding data into smart cities workflows. You will lead a team of product managers including coaching and mentoring of staff who may be new to product management, but who have deep industry expertise. This role is an integral part of our efforts to engage customers, solve problems, and influence industry groups and strategic partners to better integrate geospatial data and technology into the tools and workflows that shape the world around us.


  • Clarify, prioritize, and evangelize the roadmap for the portfolio of products required to meet key market and customer segment adoption milestones around AEC, Parcel Management, and Utility Network Management
  • Direct product management responsibilities for ArcGIS for AutoCAD and CAD and BIM in ArcGIS Pro
  • Oversee the process of engaging with strategic customers and partners to gather requirements, prioritize needs, and understand business workflows, specifically focusing on the integration of Esri technology with leading vendor technology workflows and business models
  • Coordinate strategic effort with partners in Global Business Development, Industry Management, and Professional Services
  • Develop deep knowledge of AEC or relevant industry-related integration technologies and offerings on multiple platforms
  • Maintain information on the products through blogs, white papers, and presentations
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and other groups to develop and maintain go-to-market plans, working with distributors and Esri channel teams to drive execution
  • Communicate product plans and messaging to partners and distributors to evangelize Esri’s role in strategic industries
  • Analyze potential partner relationships


  • Proven experience in AEC technology on multiple platforms, especially Autodesk, Bentley, and IFC-related products and technologies
  • 3+ years of proven experience in the product management, development, release, and support of software technology in an Agile environment (5+ years preferred) 
  • Experience with design or engineering applications and technology for visualization, architecture, GIS, or urban planning
  • Ability to present to customers and to cultivate strategic relationships with customers and partners
  • Demonstrated experience managing mid-career-level staff
  • Ability to work well with remote management and staff
  • Capability to effectively document and verbally communicate market requirements to software development technical staff
  • Experience developing productive relationships with customers, partners, colleagues, and management
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Self-motivated, creative, and team-oriented
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Bachelor’s or higher in GIS, computer science, engineering, or other relevant field (civil engineering or architecture preferred), depending on position level 

Recommended Qualifications

  • Consulting services and/or project management experience associated with AEC practice, applications, or technologies in real-world contexts
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and design techniques
  • Previous management experience
