ArcGIS Platform powers Esri’s industry-leading mapping and spatial analytics products, which are used by thousands of organizations worldwide. It is a product for developers, allowing them to build innovative solutions using the most comprehensive, high-quality set of location services, data, and mapping tools available.


As a senior product manager for ArcGIS Platform, you will drive the product strategy, vision, and technical roadmap by inspiring a diverse community of developers. This role requires a highly driven, self-motivated individual who will work with Esri teams, partners, international distributors, and a broad range of customers. You will champion the needs of the developer community and evangelize key ArcGIS Platform capabilities.

Responsibilities


  • Champion the needs of Esri’s global community of developer customers, partners, and distributors
  • Drive and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap by working with a cross-team, cross-company, international community of stakeholders
  • Represent ArcGIS Platform as the product expert on social media platforms including Esri Community, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Evangelize the vision and capabilities of ArcGIS Platform at industry trade shows, conferences, hackathons, and webinars
  • Keep up to date on developer technology advancements and trends to ensure proper alignment of product strategy, and delivery of resources that enable effective and productive solution development
  • Write technical papers and assist with generation of marketing materials and social media marketing including blogs
  • Provide product expertise with key customers to understand their business needs and assist with mission critical projects
  • Ensure internal launch readiness for product updates with sales, technical support, customer service, and training

Requirements


  • 5+ years of experience in product management, commercial application development, consulting, and/or product support
  • Ability to research customer problems and synthesize them into product requirements
  • Capability to effectively document and verbally communicate market requirements to the engineering team
  • Ability to cultivate strategic relationships with customers and partners
  • Keen interest in customer experience and research to identify problems to solve
  • Ability to work well with remote management and staff across various departments
  • Self-motivated, organized, creative, and team-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at the technical level
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
  • Must be energetic, creative, and self-motivated
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, GIS, or related fields of study

Recommended Qualifications


  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience with GIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analytics, or similar geospatial technology
  • Experience with ArcGIS software

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $104,000 - $166,400
