Apply your background and experience in photogrammetry, remote sensing and GIS to help our software products team design, document, and deploy Esri technologies for Photogrammetry, National and Motion Imagery in the defense and intelligence communities. This is an exciting opportunity to focus on imagery for multiple modalities including EO, radar, full motion video, WAMI, and related GIS formats.

Responsibilities


  • Advocate and communicate technical photogrammetric requirements needed by national government customers across multiple development projects and products
  • Champion the importance of photogrammetry and imagery-centric work and highlight the needed differences from traditional GIS applications
  • Advise leadership on solutions for imagery products supporting common defense and intelligence formats such as NITF, TFRD, and MISB compliant video
  • Provide technical expertise, leadership, and support for all products and capabilities requiring photogrammetry
  • Collaborate with software developers to develop support for Moving Target Indicator workflows, such as Video and Ground (VMTI/GMTI); and support for the Motion Imagery Extension for NITF (MIE4NITF)
  • Collaborate with software developers on multiple product project teams designing and building new software and planning for future releases
  • Define, document, and prioritize user requirements and develop best practices for Image Science, Image Analysis, Image Intelligence, and Motion Imagery workflows
  • Provide industry evaluation and feedback to drive competitive intelligence, business planning, and product management activities

Requirements


  • 5+ years of engineering experience working on COTS or GOTS software products
  • Demonstrated understanding of current methods, and emerging technologies in the imagery analysis field
  • Demonstrated experience of COTS integration and customization in high tempo environments, both through UX/UI modification and scripting
  • Demonstrated design experience with one or more of image processing algorithms, process flows, testing, and user interfaces
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • US citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI access
  • Requirement for travel 10-20% for strategic meetings, events and/or tradeshow

  • Bachelor’s in geography, engineering, remote sensing, photogrammetry, or related field

Recommended Qualifications


  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience in the defense and intelligence communities
  • Experience in developing high performance imagery and GIS applications
  • Familiarity with the NITF and TFRD formats and specifications
  • Familiarity with NATO STANAGs 4607 and 4676 and MISB Standards

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $104,000.00 - $166,400.00.
