Overview


Leverage your communication, organizational, and project management skills to facilitate the creation and maintenance of applications used to create, store, and provide training content to customers.

Responsibilities


  • Lead the planning and implementation of Training Applications projects to successful completion 
  • Work with team leads to understand department processes, workflows, and business directives 
  • Clearly communicate workflows, goals, and direction to the project team 
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, milestones, and deliverables 
  • Plan and schedule project timelines; communicate status, risks, and issues on an ongoing basis 
  • Act as a trusted intermediary, facilitating discussions with key stakeholders, customers, management, and other cross-functional team members 
  • Develop and foster a creative and collaborative team environment 
  • Develop technical solutions to new and complex business problems and make recommendations for optimizing existing workflows
  • Define, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements to determine final capabilities of the final product/service 
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for complex Training Applications business processes and workflows and propose improvements to them 
  • Interpret and simplify requirements through conceptual prototypes and user stories for developer work 
  • Prioritize work based on general direction from managers and resource availability 
  • Perform user acceptance testing to ensure requirements are satisfied 
  • Maintain a high-level understanding of Esri corporate IT strategies and software development trends 

Requirements


  • 5-7+ years of project management experience with technical projects
  • 2+ years in a customer service environment
  • Experience with Agile methodology of project management 
  • Experience with gathering technical requirements
  • Ability to work autonomously within established guidelines 
  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate complex projects across teams and departments 
  • Effective problem-solving and analysis of problems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to organizational changes 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills 
  • Bachelor’s in business, education, planning, science, or related field 

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience in education/training, software development, or technical environment 
  • Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., TargetProcess, etc.)
  • Experience guiding teams through successful project execution in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience with lean six sigma process improvement
  • Understanding of Esri software
