Our talent acquisition team is seeking a senior recruiter to perform full life cycle recruitment of professional positions. It involves being a part of the business, understanding the dynamics of the teams, and knowing how to grow those teams as they contribute to the success of the company.


You will have responsibility for the development and execution of recruitment strategies that are critical to the success of our business initiatives. You will partner with leaders to coach and mentor hiring managers, beginning with the talent acquisition processes and leading into building solid onboarding plans. To be successful in this role, you will develop and maintain business relationships and be recognized as a trusted HR partner. This requires working with a sense of urgency, driving the process forward, and having excellent follow-up skills.

  • Lead the hiring process to meet the talent acquisition needs of the business
  • Successfully hire the right people into positions; you will own the recruiting process, including requirements gathering, sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiations, closing candidates, and onboarding of new colleagues
  • Be the point of contact for offer negotiations, including developing offer packages, extending offers, negotiating salaries, and closing candidates
  • Responsible for partnering with hiring managers, organizational business leaders, and Human Resources business partners (HRBPs) to assess talent requirements, create comprehensive staffing strategies to attract diverse talent, source, participate in interviews and candidate selection, and extend offers
  • Provide leadership and counsel to hiring managers, including the resolution of complex issues associated with organizational design, workforce readiness, and talent development
  • Leverage Esri’s employer brand to develop and execute creative talent acquisition strategies that target career development interests of specific talent communities
  • Build relationships of trust with candidates throughout the recruiting process to ensure sound offer negotiations and the creation of relevant onboarding plans
  • Partner with HR specialists in the areas of talent acquisition, global mobility, organizational development, HRIS, compensation, and compliance to ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience
  • Maintain key recruiting metrics; conduct candidate pipeline analysis of recruiting trends to maintain a healthy talent pipeline and sound hiring decisions
  • Support the development of sourcing capabilities within the talent acquisition team to identify diverse candidates, such as networking, career fairs, university relations, and professional organizations


  • 4+ years of full life cycle recruiting experience, including sourcing and closing of professional positions at all levels
  • Solid capacity to practice behavioral competency assessments during interviews to determine the best placement of talent within the organization
  • Be a team player who takes initiative, is self-directed and highly motivated, and has a passion for results
  • Experience recruiting in a connected partnership with recruiting teams
  • Knowledge of ADA, EEO, FMLA, Title VII, and wage and hour laws
  • Talent acquisition experience that includes any combination of full life cycle recruiting, sourcing, agency recruiting, coordinating, or HR experience
  • Experience developing and implementing talent strategies and methodologies to hire critical talent
  • Experience with proactive sourcing to build and manage diverse talent pipelines for various skill sets across the organization
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system such as iCIMS, Greenhouse, SuccessFactors, Workday, etc.
  • Bachelor’s in human resources, business administration, or communications (MBA or master’s in human Resources, communications, industrial psychology, or communications

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience supporting software development and computer engineering organizations, especially with the development of commercial software, professional services, or information systems
  • PHR or SPHR certification
  • Understanding of immigration laws and work authorization/visa requirements
  • 4+ years of talent acquisition experience to include any combination of full life cycle recruiting, sourcing, agency recruiting, or human resources experience
  • Advanced level candidate pre-closing and closing skills with proven ability to determine viable prospects
  • Experience influencing, educating, and training human resources generalists and managers regarding talent acquisition processes, workforce strategy, compliance best practices
  • Experience building effective working relationships with a broad range of management styles at all levels in the organization
  • Prior experience recruiting for a military or defense contractor
  • Experience in tech recruiting
