Overview


We are seeking an evidence-based marketer to lead social listening, reporting, and paid social media content boosting. The social media strategist will identify and flag relevant conversations, deliver data driven insights on social media performance, and extend the reach of our content with paid amplification. The ideal candidate is resourceful, analytical, self-motivated, and passionate about research and the power of insights.

Responsibilities


  • Protect and promote the Esri brand and share relevant data with key stakeholders throughout the business by monitoring brand presence and mentions across social channels to identify potential risks to the Esri brand using Talkwalker, our social listening platform
  • Monitor wider category conversations for opportunities to interject the brand into relevant conversations and translate real-time social media conversations into tangible insights and make recommendations for engagement
  • Report on social media performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis and provide recommendations for adjusting tactics accordingly
  • Collaborate with internal partners to understand their needs; provide guidance on how social data can be used to deliver insights and produce ad-hoc reports as needed
  • Act as the subject matter expert and evangelist for the use of social listening and insights across the business
  • Actively follow key competitors in order to provide updates to brands in regular reports
  • Maintain a strategic list of influencers who organically engage with the brand that could be a good fit for partnerships
  • Cull insights out of raw data, display themes and trends, and mine the “so-what” out of KPIs and visualizations
  • Develop and execute brand-level paid social media strategy to support campaign efforts and amplify our best performing content in the pursuit of reaching new audiences
  • Work with performance marketing team to ensure consistency across audience and creative throughout the funnel
  • Partner with marketing technology team on initiatives such as navigating the cookieless world

Requirements


  • 5 years of professional experience with digital insights and analytics with a bachelor's degree; or 3 years of professional experience with digital insights and analytics and a master's degree
  • 3+ years of experience with social listening tools and enterprise-level social media management platforms
  • Experience monitoring, managing, manipulating, and drawing insights from data including organic social, paid social, and social conversation
  • Strong understanding of the social media space and main platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok)
  • Proficient in writing Boolean queries for social listening topics
  • A data-driven test and learn mindset
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate program goals, define success, action items to push the team forward, tell stories with data, and present learnings in a cohesive and visually compelling manner

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience and working knowledge of Talkwalker
  • Experience and working knowledge of Hootsuite
  • 3+ years of experience running paid social campaigns in native ads managers on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn (YouTube is a bonus)
  • 2+ years of experience with web reporting tools (Adobe preferred)

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

 

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $72,800 - $135,200.
