Overview


Do you have a passion for finding hidden patterns and solving technical problems in space and time? Become a key member of the Spatial Statistics development team and help us write the tools that enable people to make data-driven decisions using Esri software. We’re looking for a highly motivated and technical programmer to help us extend and improve our capabilities in spatial statistics and space-time pattern analysis.

Responsibilities


  • Research spatial-temporal analytics and the algorithms/data structures associated with them
  • Write deliverable code for advanced spatial data science in C++ and Python
  • Perform additional JavaScript programming to provide graphical enhancements to our tools
  • Debug/identify performance bottlenecks and write optimal solutions
  • Work with product engineers to make technical solutions approachable to the general user
  • Tackle bug fixes

Requirements


  • One year of experience in the job offered or related occupation
  • Demonstrated experience with spatial statistics, data mining, machine learning, spatial modeling, and ArcGIS
  • Master’s in geography, geographical information systems and economics, geographic information systems, statistics, math, computer science, or related field (PhD in geography, geographical information systems and economics, geographic information systems, statistics, math, computer science, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation accepted in lieu of master’s and 1 year of experience)
